Joy Lacquer’s Winter Custom Pop-up Boutique Part 2

Next up from Joy Lacquer’s Pop-up I have my second favorite from the four! This is called “Always Be Colorful” which was created by Abby who is the person behind the nails and blog A Journey In Color. She had this polish created for her one year blogiversary! (If you want to check out some of her posts I will link her blog at the end of this post 🙂 )

So without further ado…here is “Always Be Colorful”…

This polish is a stunner! It has a clear base but is FULL of rainbow chrome flakies. This polish can be worn alone or as a topper.

In all of those pictures expect for the last one I have three coats and top coat…the last picture is one coat and top coat on top of a black creme and then  a white creme. So as you can see from the first few pictures it does get pretty opaque…the only time that I was able to see a visible nail line was when I took the macro…and it’s only in spots where the flakes aren’t as dense. I’m sure maybe paying more attention to where the flakes laid down when I painted each coat would have fixed that, or if you’re like me and don’t have time for that or forget to pay attention to it 😉 one more coat probably would have done the trick as well.

Application was a breeze! I feel like the flakes dispersed well…even with the whole VNL thing…I didn’t have to finagle with them at all to get the desired effect I was wanting. Removal was fairly easy…I always find flakes take a teensy bit more work than a creme or a holo to get off but no where near as hard as a glitter! Clean up was a breeze as well and there was no staining.

It was a cloudy day so these weren’t taken in direct sunlight, I would say it was partial sunlight. I’m sure this polish sparkles like crazy in full sunlight!

There is a limited time to get these polishes so if you want them get them while you can! They are pre-orders and it is currently open and will be open until this Friday the 20th. The most popular colors (these were all voted on in the fan group) will be discounted at $8 or $9 a bottle and the other ones that weren’t as popular in voting will be about $10 a bottle (just in case you’re wondering why some are more expensive than others 😉 ). I will add a link to the shop below, as well as a link to her Instagram and Facebook fan page.

I hope you enjoyed my review! Make sure you subscribe if you want to stay updated on my posts! And make sure you go follow me on my Instagram as well! Sometimes I will post videos and pictures that aren’t always on my blog posts (link is below)

I’ve also included a link to Abby’s blog…A Journey In Color. Make sure you go check out her work!
